NB. 4 mins in I talk about editing the navigation bar. Since the workshop was recorded Slack have updated what is included in the navigation bar. Here is a rundown of what you can now include:
- Home - which is unchanged
- DMs - which is unchanged
- Activity - which is unchanged
- Files - which is where you will now find Canvases, Lists as well as files that have been shared.
- Later - which is unchanged
- Tools - which includes workflows, apps and channel templates which we don't use
To replace People, Channels and External there is now a new menu item at the top of the sidebar called Directories. You can add this by going to [Preference] > [Home] > [Always show in sidebar]
