- Wires! – make sure all ‘coiled’ extension leads are fully uncoiled if in use (as can overheat), don’t ever plug an extension lead into an extension lead (daisy chaining), it is always best to get ‘power surge protection’ extension leads and remember to have ‘trip mats’ over extension leads.
- Storage - Don’t store anything in front of fire exits, lots of things under desks (can stop you being able to sit properly / hide electrical faults) or above head hight (as you then need to think through how to safely use a ladder etc.)
