Home for Good and Safe Families success relies on the skills and commitment of the whole team; we recognise that there will be occasions where the expected work hours are different to, or exceed, contracted hours and so for the vision of the charity to be met, flexibility is important. We also know that flexibility is important for each of us to thrive personally and within our own family life in all its variety. Our approach to flexible working aims to be able to balance the needs of us as individuals and what our roles need to thrive.
Our approach to working flexibly includes two elements:
- Flexi-time; the policy that enables staff members to adjust their working hours based on workload and other commitments (within limits). This divides the working day into core hours (9.30-3pm) and extended hours (8-6pm)
- TOIL: the policy by which staff can take back time for delivering on specific activities within their role that are required to take place out of hours
More Information can be found in the Flexi-Time and TOIL policy.
Where TOIL incorporates Travel - please refer to our Principles of Travel Document.
