Assigning a specific CVM as the Church Manager of a church will mean that they receive any database tasks, notifications and emails associated with that church, including tasks and notifications for any volunteers that are at the church.
If you are the CVM for the church's area, these tasks and notifications will already be coming to you, so no need to set yourself as the Church Manager. However if you're looking after a church in a different area, or are job sharing and want to split the churches in your area between yourself and another CVM, then the Church Manager option is for you!
To assign a Church Manager, go to the Church Overview page.
In the Headline Summary box, there is a Church Manager drop-down menu. Choose yourself (or the relevant CVM) from the list and press 'Update Manager'.
A note will be added to the church record to confirm that a new Church Manager has been added.
