Physical card is completed with the exploring Volunteering box ticked.
An online volunteer form should be filled out. This will create/update their supporter record accordingly and have them sign the declaration around safeguarding and prompt for references (which are then auto-sent), etc.
So, although they have filled out a contact card, contact them through an appropriate method and link them to the volunteering form. They can always click 'not sure' on the application if they're not ready to commit to a specific role. This will void the need for them to enter references at this stage.
Currently, if interesting in Home for Good volunteering opportunities as a champion and/or peer support volunteer, they can click "not sure" and this will still take the basic information to complete a supporter record. You can then manually mark them as 'Yes' for either/or of those roles.

For the digital card, the supporter record will be creared automatically. We will need to follow up on references, etc manually once we're ascertained what role(s) they're interested in. More details on sending and receiving references is here.
