The Concern? flag on volunteer notes is similar to the Safeguarding Flag against family notes, other that it's entirely internal as only staff are able to record notes against a volunteer record.
If you have a concern regarding a volunteer, for instance around adding notes in a timely manner, then you should flag this as a concern when leaving a note against the volunteer record.
This will notify the Engagement and Support Coordinator (ESC), the Engagement and Support Team Leader (ESTL) and the Head of Engagement & Church Relationships (HECR).
If the Safeguarding Concern/External Investigation option is selected and the volunteer is currently supporting a family, the Allocated Staff Member and the Family Support Team Leader (FSTL) will also be notified.
It is important for us to monitor the different reasons for concerns, therefore concerns can be categorised into 1 of 5 options that you:
- Welfare
- Lack of Engagement
- Lack of Notes
- Behaviour/Code of Conduct
- Safeguarding Concern/External Investigation
