Volunteers who plan to provide support to families in their own home, will require a Home Safety Checklist (HSC).
The HSC is a way of ensuring that the home environment is safe for vulnerable children and/or adults to visit.
The Home Safety portion of the Approval Process At a Glance is used to indicate which volunteers are interested in providing 'at home' support.
'At home' support is any support taking place in the volunteers home and can include over night or day time support.
The light grey box indicates a volunteer is interested in providing 'at home' support but an HSC has not yet been completed.
The green box indicates a volunteer is interested in providing 'at home' support and that an HSC has been completed.
The dark grey box indicates that a volunteer is not interested in providing 'at home' support at this time.
Initially, the HSC will show as required for all new volunteer applications but this can be removed if the volunteer is not planning to provide 'at home' support.
Use the Remove this button to indicate that a volunteer does not wish to provide 'at home' support.
Use the Add Home Safety button to indicate that a volunteer does wish to provide 'at home' support.
All volunteers who are listed as requiring an HSC, but where one has not been completed or is pending and additional steps to complete, will show in the https://db.safefamilies.uk/volunteers/hsc_requirements view.
