Home Safety Checklists will expire naturally after 3 years but if something were to change for the volunteer before that time, there is now an option available for staff to manually expire their HSC.
Manually expiring the HSC, means that the volunteer household will no longer be available to provide 'at home' support until the HSC is either updated and reaccepted or a new HSC is completed.
There are two options available when expiring an HSC. The first option is the New Checklist button, which expires the current HSC and automatically opens up a new one.
The second option is the Expire Checklist button, which expires the current checklist but does not start a new one.
Expire Checklist is more appropriate in situations where something has changed but the volunteer is not planning to continue providing 'at home' support.
