There is the opportunity for some volunteers to 'self-serve' their Module 4 (recertification) training.
Volunteers eligible to self-cert will have been:
- Actively supporting a family in the last year.
- Engaged with extra training/volunteer events.
- Discussed with the wider team, to capture the view of the FST, and they feel confident in the volunteer's understanding and implementation of their role.
- Consistently supported families over the last three years, for example three 3+ families in that time.
They will also have no unresolved Volunteer Concern notes on their volunteer profile, or any ongoing concerns around them as a volunteer.
By default, self-serve is not enabled for a volunteer. CVM team leaders and Senior CVMs are able to switch it on for the volunteer based on the criteria above.
On the recertification line of the approval process, the training column will show if self-serve is enabled for a volunteer.
If you are the CVM TL or Senior, you'll see the option to enable self-serve.
Pressing the button will bring up a reminder of the criteria for self-serve and offer a drop down where the setting can be toggled. Select the option, and press the button. A note will be added to record the decision and a notification sent to the CVM.
Now on the recertification line the CVM will see the following details.
Right click on the link or the icon and select Copy Link Address
This will copy the recertification link to the clipboard and this can then be pasted into an email to the volunteer.
Alternatively, you can press the envelope button and this will create a new, pre-addressed email message containing the link, which you can then edit and send.
