Occasionally a disclosure returns with the information to us that it needs to be seen; this means there is a ‘Disclosure’. An additional process needs to take place to record what is referred to as a ‘Blemished Disclosure.’ There can be various reasons for this and so may not rule a volunteer out as it may not be relevant to their volunteer role. These can include some motoring offences or a historic offence which is no longer current. The Lead Recruiter will need to inform the relevant CVM, the SCVM/TL and PD/PM who will lead them through the next and most appropriate stages. A copy of the disclosure certificate will have to be obtained.
If a disclosure needs to be seen and the volunteer has not mentioned this before, a discussion needs to be had with PD/PM as to how move forward with the application.
If the disclosure certificate needs to be seen because there is a disclosure, the Lead Recruiter and PD will need to see it and then mark it as read on the disclosure website as well as note the situation/decision on the Safe Families database
