Volunteer Management Standards and Procedures
Our vision is to see a multitude of well-trained, well-supported volunteers across the UK, providing life-changing friendship and hospitality and making the very most of every opportunity to offer belonging. We want all our volunteers to be on a journey towards understanding, and responding to the call to love the vulnerable, offer hospitality and build community. We also want our volunteers to know they belong individually and are vital members of the Safe Families team. Every member of Safe Families staff has a role to play in ensuring that all volunteers have a consistently positive, safe, and effective experience, starting from their initial enquiry and through the entirety of their ‘volunteer journey’. The purpose of this information is to set out the standards we will maintain to deliver this positive experience for volunteers and to provide the procedures we must follow to ensure we pursue excellence in every aspect of our work with volunteers.
