Once the CVM has completed the Volunteer Assessment on the DB, it is automatically sent to their line manager for checking and approval. It is either accepted or sent back to the CVM for rework where necessary, with clear feedback to enable this rework.
Once accepted, the first part of the assessment (the questions asked to the volunteer) is sent to the volunteer for any comments. It is therefore important the CVM also sends the volunteer’s DB ‘Welcome Email’ prior to them receiving their Volunteer Assessment.
The volunteer has a two-week window to provide any comments, otherwise it is automatically accepted. In the rare occasions the volunteer is unhappy or questions any of the CVM’s record, the CVM should discuss this with their line manager to create a suitable plan to manage this.
