1.10 Volunteer Approval Process Summary

Who goes through the whole volunteer process? Application form	Every person going through the process needs   to complete an application form and sign it.
References	Every person going through the process needs 3 references.  Referee must have known them for more than 2 years, must be unrelated to the volunteer and unrelated to each other. A mixture of church/professional and personal references should be sought.					Every person needs 1 reference. Referee must have known them for more than 2 years, must be unrelated to the volunteer and ideally from church/community
Disclosure	Everyone who lives at the address who is aged 16 and over needs a Disclosure check		Each person going through the process to become a Family Friend or Approved Resource Friend needs a Disclosure check
Volunteer Assessment	Every person going through the process needs a volunteer assessment.
Training	Every person going through the process needs to   complete modules 1, 2 & 3 of Core Volunteer Training.					Not required
Volunteer Agreement	Every person going through the process needs to have signed a Volunteer Agreement.
Home Safety Check	HSC must be carried out		No HSC Required
Volunteer Approval Panel	Every person going through the process must be reviewed at Volunteer Approval Panel.
