Full-time members of staff's holiday entitlement is 36 days (inclusive of bank holidays and
Christmas Closure) per holiday year that runs from April - March at full pay.
If you work less than 5 days per week your entitlement to both annual holiday and bank
holiday is pro rata and rounded up to nearest 0.5. (e.g. if you work three days a week so are 0.6 FTE your allowance is 36x0.6=21.6. rounded up to 0.5 is therefore 22 days)
Long Service Days
As a benefit we offer staff additional days leave for long service. If you have been employed for five years in the next allocation of AL you will be awarded an additional long service day. For each additional year, up to 10 years, you will then be awarded an additional day and so will be as a maximum be awarded an additional 5 days. This benefit replaces the entitlement to purchase additional leave. Therefore for a full time staff member who has been employed for 6 years in the April their annual leave entitlement will be 37 days (36 days + 1 long service day) and they have the option to purchase an additional 4 days.
Please note that additional days for long service are added to the allowance on 1st April the year after the 'milestone' is reached. E.g. if I started employment in November then I would be awarded my long service day in the April after I reached 5 years of employment.
