The Safe Families system has primarily been tested using Google Chrome and therefore we recommended using this browser when accessing the database.
The lists of volunteers, referrals, families, churches and agencies all contain a search facility allowing the search of key details such as names or addresses to find a specific record.
Occasionally it becomes necessary to identify a user by information within a page which does not contain a search option. In these cases, browsers such as Google Chrome and Internet Explorer contain their own search facility, which allows an ad-hoc search of page content.
To access the search option, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and press F to bring up the Find box.
You can then type to search for any information held within a given page.
Page Navigation:
If you're at the bottom of a page and want to jump back to the top, press Home on the keyboard.
If at the top and wanting the bottom, press End on the keyboard.
To jump to the next page worth of results on a page, use Page Up or Page Down.
New Tab:
Wanting to open a specific record from a list of results without losing the list?
Hold down Ctrl and click the link to open it in a new tab.
Make sure to close this tab once finished, otherwise an unused tab might time you out of the database.
