You'll find the Church Giving page in the left hand menu on the church record.
If the church has signed up to take part in any fundraising events, you'll see these displayed in the Fundraising Events table. The Lead Contact column displays the name of the Fundraising contact if there is one, if not it shows the lead contact for the church. The date of the event is shown under Event Date. In the case of the Jelly Welly Walk, if the church are organising their own walk, this will be shown under Own Event Date. Region shows the region where the event is taking place, and Host is the event host.
Fundraising Page gives a link to their Just Giving or equivalent fundraising page. The Fundraising Team will send out Fundraising Packs to churches doing the Jelly Welly Walk (and possibly other future events). If this has been sent, you'll see a tick in the Fundraising pack sent? column. If they have told us how many are joining the event with the church, the number of people will be shown in the No. in group column. The amount raised per event is displayed in the Amount Raised column. At the bottom you can see a summary row that shows you the total fundraising activity for the church.
The Giving Record shows you donations from the church that have been received into our bank. It shows the Date, Amount, Type (One Off, Regular or Fundraising), Method (e.g. Cheque, Bank Transfer, Standing Order), Status (Received, Pending or Failed), and who the donation was Entered By. The Category column can be used to tag donations that are related to one other, for example donations from the Jelly Welly walk or a particular church fundraising event.
The Acknowledged column contains a button to acknowledge a church gift. Click here for more details on acknowledging gifts.
Once a donation has been acknowledged, this column will show who by and the date.
Any notes about church giving can be seen in the Notes page of the church record, highlighted in yellow. To add a giving note, simply add a note in the usual way and change the note type to Giving.
