Module 1, 3 and 4 Core Volunteer Training events as well as Natioal Information Sessions all have a minimum capacity of 3 bookings.
The reason for this being these events require lots of attendee discussion and participation which needs a certain amount of people in the Zoom and by setting a minimum we will be able to ensure this will happen well.
- At the time of booking volunteers will know that there is a minimum capacity on their event and that there is a possibility of cancellation if the minimum isn't met 3 days prior to the event.
- If the minimum isn't reached 3 days before the event is due volunteers will receive an email from the dB apologising and informing them of the cancellation and encouraging them to rebook another event with their booking link included in the email.
- The dB also notifies the facilitators for the event and the National Training Coordinator.
- If additional staff are booked onto the event the National Training Coordinator will inform them of the cancellation.
If we run a training event with 3 bookings and only 1 or 2 volunteers attend on the day we will still run the event but with just one facilitator delivering the training.
- In the lead up to the training event the two facilitators will have a conversation and decide who will run the training if there are only 3 or fewer volunteers in the Zoom.
- They will ensure that person is doing the introductions and screen sharing and then at the start of the event if lots of the bookings don't turn up and numbers are low the other facilitator is free to leave.
