For cases where you are writing a family note and it pertains to a volunteer as well it is possible to add the note to both the family and volunteer records at the same time by 'tagging' the volunteer in the note.
In some regions the list of volunteers can be quite long, they are sorted by surname to hopefully speed it up.
Having picked a volunteer, and assuming the note is finalised, the note will be added as both a family note and a volunteer note.
The email notification will still work so, if it’s a family case managed by someone else, the case manager will continue to be notified of the new family/referral note. In addition, just as CVMs are now informed of someone putting a volunteer note onto one of their volunteers, they’ll receive email notice of a volunteer being ‘tagged’ and a link to read the note.
