New incoming referrals are automatically assigned 'waiting' status.
And are available in the Waiting List view:
Whilst on the waiting list they can be placed On Hold but not accepted.
Alongside the Place on hold button is a button to remove them from the waiting list. This button will only appear if there is a case manager and the case is not on hold.
When releasing a referral from the waiting list you will be prompted to send an automated email to the referrer the case is assigned to.
The format of the email is slightly different between regions but along the lines of:
Hello, this message is to let you know that your referral for [FAMILY ID] ([FAMILY NAME]) has reached the top of our waiting list. We need to talk to you about the family in more detail before support can begin and will be in touch shortly. If we haven't managed to speak to you today please call us on 0115 922 7593 and ask for [INSERT CASE MANAGER] Many thanks, Safe Families
