If an item that has been returned to the office it deemed to no longer be suitable to allocate to a volunteer or family (i.e. damaged or incomplete), the item will need to be retired.
Retiring an item can also be used to record where items have been donated to someone not on the database (i.e. another charity or organisation).
Click Retire Item.
Enter the Date Retired (making sure to follow the suggested dd-mm-yyyy format).
Additional Retirement Detail can be used to add more detail on the reason the item has been retired.
Press Mark as Retired to complete the process.
Details of the reason for retiring the item will be shown below the item specification.
