In most cases the answer is no - leave is designed to be taken to enable healthy patterns of work and rest, we do not want to create a culture in which leave can not be used as work is 'too busy' or leave be 'saved up' and then used all at once. However, we do allow leave to be transferred for 'exceptional circumstances' e.g. leave was pre-booked in March and then due to an emergency had to be changed so now being booked for April or recently had a long period of time off work sick and so not had time to use leave . If you feel a staff member has an 'exceptional circumstance' then the transfer of leave needs to be approved by Kat. Please speak with your PD who, if they agree, will then speak with Kat.
