Staff Matters - Line Managers Supplement (March 2025)

Hello there, 

Here are the latest updates for line managers specifically from People and Culture. Please also take a look at Staff Matters that will go out to all staff for further information on some of the things below and other things that you need to know about.

 

Annual Leave

In Staff Matters that will go out to everyone you will see that annual leave is now going to be tracked in hours. This shouldn't cause an issue for you or those you manage as staff will still be able to book full days or half days leave through the database and this will be tracked in hours which will compare to their normal number of hours. This means that those who work days that are not 7.5 hours will be able to stop using spreadsheets to monitor this. Please do take a look at those your line manage and let us know if their leave seems incorrect when this system goes live on 1st April. 

 

Flexi-time and TOIL

As you know we have been trialing a flexi-time working pattern and some changes to TOIL. We are now nearing the end of the trial and we would really value your feedback around how this has gone for you and your team. With that in mind, we would love it if you were able to complete this short survey so that we can collate feedback. This link is specific for line managers (you only need to complete this survey - not the one shared in staff matters). The surveys closes on 9th April. 

Reasonable Adjustments

We have recently updated our information around Reasonable Adjustments. This is a very important part of caring and supporting staff especially if they have a disability or condition which is likely to be long-term. Please do take some time to watch this short video which gives an overview of the process and take a look at the information here.

All Staff Meeting and Staff Conference

Our latest all staff meeting took place on Tuesday 11 March and it focused on the launch of our new vision and mission statements. If you didn't make the call, or there were members of your team that couldn't, it's really important that you catch up on it. You can do that here.

We also really encourage you to remind your teams to sign up for Staff Conference. Registration closes on 31 March and here's the information to sign up. There is also a the link here to the frequently asked questions.
